"Store what you eat, and eat what you store"
Our family recently relocated to Oahu, Hawaii with our 8 children, ages ranging from 14 yrs to 6 weeks. As we contemplated the need to simplify our assets and to choose what we truly 'needed' to ship from our household, & to fit these chosen items into a minimal 16’ x 8’ ft POD, it was our THRIVE food storage (our personal Home Store), our Shelf Reliance rotating shelves and the families 72 hour packs that were of most value to us to ship over the ocean. These valuable assets were the 1st to be loaded in our limited valuable space. We now were prepared with our THRIVE!!
We moved from Wellsville, Utah in June 2011 for my husband to pursue his PhD in Educational Psychology at the University of Hawaii beginning in Aug. 2011. What I LOVE about this opportunity in moving is that I too get to bring my business of Shelf Reliance with me!! I can continue my business from anywhere and also educate and open a whole new area in becoming more self-reliant and prepared. With Passion & Persistence, building this business can be shared & accomplished anywhere!!
I grew up in Northern California and then moved to Utah in 1992 to attend Utah Valley State College, currently UVU, where I received an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. In 1995, I was married, completed my Real Estate License, attended BYU-Hawaii together then practiced Real Estate in Utah for many years. After my 6th baby, in 2006, I finally completed and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Science from Utah State University.
I was introduced to Shelf Reliance in the Fall of 2009 at a Home Party by friends, Chad and Rachel Mano. I was ecstatic about the usable and wonderfully delicious products offered with THRIVE, in supplement to the basic home storage we had in our home. Home preparedness has always been a priority for my husband & I, and this was the perfect fit. I LOVED the Q Program offered where we could get set up on a family budget of our selection, to build our own personal Home Store, with money reallocated from our current grocery budget! I realized this brilliant program made it possible for everyone to get prepared with their own Home Store too, and the affordability to individual need. SO exciting!
I soon found my business mind kick in also, as the reality of being at the beginning of a company, such as this, was an opportunity not to be passed up, and I could build this from home and be home with my children! I eagerly signed up to become an Independent Consultant for Shelf Reliance on Black Friday weekend 2009. On the 1 year Anniversary of my joining, on the same Black Friday weekend, I achieved the rank of Platinum Executive, the highest rank in the Company! I am currently also a Company Trainer/Speaker and on the Companies Advisory Board. I have a passion for educating guests at Home Parties & for assisting my Team in reaching their Goals, Visions and Dreams!
I absolutely love creating my family’s Home Store with THRIVE foods. I love each of the THRIVE products and have them easily on hand in my kitchen for my daily cooking and baking. I love the freeze dried meats, tomato powder & mixed bell peppers for pastas and soups; butter, egg & shortening powders for baking, and the freeze dried fruits for healthy snacks & additions to smoothies and cereals! My five year old son asks frequently: “Can we have food storage milk today?” (Who loves ‘powdered milk’???) WE love THRIVE Instant Milk and it has a 25 year shelf life! I use THRIVE every day in my cooking, and feel so blessed to be involved with this amazing company and opportunity, to create the friendships on my Team and to have these delicious, healthy & convenient ingredients in our home!
